Roast Pork Shoulder (Schweinsbraten)

- 2 kg pork shoulder
- 6 cloves garlic
- salt, oil
Preparation
Mix the finely chopped cloves of garlic with 2 tablespoons salt. Rub this paste onto the whole pork shoulder. Heat cooking oil in a saucepan -not too hot. Brown meat on all sides. Add 1/2 cup water. Let it roast in the oven for 2 1/2 hours at 200°C. Pour the sauce in the pan over the meat from time to time. Before you finish scrape all browned bits sticking to the pan to get a tasty sauce.
Serve with dumplings from potatoes.
