Kaiserschmarrn
Preparation Time:
20 minutes
Origin:
Austria Ingredients, serves 2
- 4 eggs
- 1/4 l milk
- 100 g flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 50 g butter for baking
- 100 g icing sugar
Preparation
Mix eggs, milk and salt well, add the flour and stir until you get a thick mixture. Heat butter in a saucepan, pour in all the dough and let it cook for a few minutes. As soon as it becomes light brown at the edges, lift it with a fork and let the unbaked remaining mixture flow under the already baked part. Repeat until the whole mixture has been cooked. Now take two forks and tear the cake into pieces. Stir until all the pieces are light brown and well baked.
Place on a large plate, sprinkle with sugar and serve with stewed fruit.
If you like currants, you can add some to the dough before cooking.
